About the presenter

MaryG Zell is an environmental geologist who worked on cleaning up contaminated soil and groundwater, from gas stations to Superfund sites. When her daughter was born she went back to school to get a second master’s degree in library and information science, and worked as a school librarian for 15 years. Now retired, she can pursue her love of birds. She recently completed the Travis Audubon Master Birder course, and loves speaking about birds. MaryG is also a volunteer at the Children’s Desk at RRPL every Tuesday afternoon.
