Adult Basic Education: Fall Session

Adult Basic Education: Fall Session In-Person

**In-person registration takes place on August 24 in the 1st floor Literacy Room. Class size is limited to 20 students.**

The Round Rock Public Library and the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Church present Adult Basic Education (ABE) literacy classes. These lessons are designed so that adults of all reading levels can participate.  Whether you are just learning the alphabet or can already read a little but want to improve, we can help!  You will learn new vocabulary, practice reading short stories, and write about what you read.  We also work together to read longer books based on what the students are interested in reading.  In the past, we have read Harry Potter, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and The Power of Having Fun, based on student suggestions.

The fall session runs from August 24 to December 7 (13 sessions). Classes meet every Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM in the library’s Literacy Classroom.

No class days due to holidays/library closure:

  • August 31
  • October 12
  • November 30

In-person registration takes place on August 24 in the 1st floor Literacy Room. Class size is limited to 20 students.
