The Friends of the Round Rock Public Library is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization supporting the Round Rock Public Library.

Our mission is to provide funds and volunteers to enrich and energize the services and programs of the library and empower our members to connect with the community through activities and outreach.

The Board of Directors invite all Friends members to attend the in-person meetings. In-person meetings are held several times during the year at the library in Meeting Room A&B Combo on level one at 6:30 p.m. We try to keep meeting to one hour.

The board of directors meetings are essential gatherings where the leadership team oversees the organization's affairs, makes strategic decisions, and ensures alignment with its mission and goals. Here's what typically happens at these meetings:

  • Call to Order
  • Review of Previous Meeting Minutes
  • Reports from Officers and Committees
  • Decision Making:
  • Board Development and Governance
  • Open Forum, time permitting

Throughout the meeting, the board operates within the framework of its bylaws and adheres to principles of transparency, accountability, and fiduciary responsibility. Discussions are typically guided by the organization's mission and values, with the goal of advancing its objectives and serving the library community effectively.
